With a branch network that spans the country, a highly regarded range of brands, plus knowledgeable staff we have long made Forman Building Systems the “go to” name in passive fire protection.

Forman have built their reputation on solid brands, technical support and offering innovative solutions on such landmark projects as the hydrocarbon fire protection for the Victoria Park Tunnel in Auckland, the post-quake reinstatement of the Christchurch Civic Centre and the Christchurch Hospital with flexible barrier solution.

Forman have become the exclusive New Zealand distributor of the highly regarded Promat range of passive fire protections systems. Included in the Promat range is Promatect 50, a board which offers up to 120 minutes fire protection for structural steel with only a single layer. Promatect 100; a board which capitalizes on the latest cement matrix technologies and has a high grade architectural finish offering 120 minutes stability, integrity and insulation on a steel frame and timber walls with or without cavity insulation. It also is also tested to achieve an FRR -/240/240 using two layers both sides of a steel stud with or without cavity insulation.

Promat also offer a broad range of penetration and gap seal solutions; everything from ablative coated batts to fire rated backing rods, fire pillows and acrylic sealant. Furthermore, unique to Promat is the Promaseal UniCollar, an intumescent fire collar which is cut to length on site removing the need to carry a single fit fire collar for every potential pipe size.

Forman also offer the Firefly range of flexible smoke and fire barriers; a flexible blanket system suitable for use as both vertical and horizontal barriers in walls, plenums spaces, ceilings and floors. Firefly is also an ideal solution for seismic joints offering up to an FRR -/120/60.
