The B:HIVE (short for Business Hive), a building at Smales Farm on Auckland’s North Shore covers 11,000sq m and provides a flexible and vibrant working environment for small to medium businesses.
The building provides flexible office space to house businesses with one through to 250 employees and the ground floor contains state of the art meeting, event and conference facilities.
The project for the ground floor feature floor was a collective of Allied Concrete, Conslab and Megafloor working early with the construction Company Leighs Construction, the Architects Jasmax/BVN from Australia and the client Smales Farm Park to come up with a high end decorative concrete finish to suit the interior feature design brief.
The project for the ground floor feature floor was a collective of Allied Concrete, Conslab and Megafloor
Allied Concrete along with Megafloor provided some early samples for approval and the clients selected a Megafloor High Street Premium finish. Conslab designed the methodology and placing to maximise the best placement and curing to enable the quality result achieved.
All the above was detailed into a project specification and methodology to follow during all processes. The project scope demanded some close team work as it was a topping slab laid over the top of a structural slab so demanded a very high workmanship and collaborative
approach from all parties.
