Collaboration brings Success

He Tohu – Treaty of Waitangi Document Room – National Library of New Zealand

Multi Award Winning, including

Designers Institute of New Zealand – BEST OF THE BEST – Award

TimberLab Solutions Ltd worked with Studio Pacific Architecture to achieve the outstanding and Award-Winning Glulam – Whaka Huia – sacred treasure box – displaying the original Treaty of Waitangi Documents at the National Library in Wellington.

Being able to sit down at an early stage and help to create a successful methodology to achieve this highly complex and sculptural masterpiece was a significant key to the stunning outcome.

TimberLab is finding increasingly, that by working together with Architect, Engineer and Constructor at the early development stage in a project; they can achieve greatly improved efficiency in the overall construction outcomes. Resolving issues before they become expensive site problems and ensuring buildable details, amount to significant on-site cost savings.

Spending the time in the up-front planning in this way reduces the risk of inconsistencies and unforeseen conflict later in the building process.
